AMNESIA

5.00 (moderate) This anime is based on a game of the same name, though I'd expect the game to be a lot better since the anime kind of really sucks. The story follows the nameless heroine through different worlds where she's dating a different guy in each one so she can get her lost memories back. This alone sounds nice, specially if you're into reverse harem and bishounen, but once you realize the heroine is as dull as a log, you can lose interest pretty quickly. Ok, I get it she doesn't remember a thing, but that doesn't mean she can't have a personality, right? Anyway, what I think was the best part is the ending since all the confusion is finally dispersed and the story behind her lost memories is very touching, at least it was for me.

8.00 (good) This anime was good because they relied a lot on visual elements to create an atmosphere of tension, mystery and horror. Though the story itself it's not that scary, they keep you on edge every episode, expecting something bad or scary to happen... I loved the OP, since it was by Ali Project, one of my favorite bands.

8.00 (good) Nice story though with a somewhat cliché theme. The characters are enjoyable as well as their interactions. Reminded me a little bit of Mahou Sensei Negima probably because of some similarities between the characters.

9.00 (very good) Both the OVA and anime were great, though, the story didn't leave that much of an impression. I think what makes this anime really great is just the fact that Huke's characters were animated and the battles between them were action-packed. There were a lot of characters left out so, hopefully, there will be another season or OVA.

6.00 (average) OMG, one of those really long and tiresome series to get through. If you don't follow the manga, then you won't know which episodes are fillers and which follow the actual story. Not to mention all those OVAs completely unrelated to the manga .___. To be honest, it was a pain to watch because they just cut through one of the main arcs and add a lot of fillers. I'm a huge Bleach fan, but I prefer the manga 100 times over the anime. The only reason I'd recommend it would be if you really want to see your favorites chapters animated, but that's all.

7.50 (good) Well, the art and character design of this one are good but the storyline it's nothing new and the pace is rather slow. The fights really lack action and sometimes are anti-climatic. The heroine is another problem, she gets on my nerves. That "I'm scared because I don't know what's happening so instead of doing something about it I'll just whine" kind of attitude is really irritating. Maybe she'll change as the series progresses but I don't think I'll finish this anime.

6.50 (above average) I felt like this anime was something like "Death Note meets High School of the Dead". The first impression you get when you see the main character is: "Look! Is Yagami Light O_O" So I think there's a chance the same animators from DN worked on this. The story in general it's not so bad, though it's a lot like Sword Art Online. Of course, you get your token fanservice character who gets in the way most of the time (as expected). It looks like there might be a second season, so things might get better then.

5.00 (moderate) I'm not a huge fan of CLAMP but decided to watch this to see what all the fuss was about. The story is so-so, nothing too special. The cute and fluff factors are there but the story in general lacks something. I liked more the book that was mentioned in the anime than the anime itself, to be honest.

8.00 (good) This anime will make you cry, laugh, be happy, cry even more and then cry your eyes out. In general it's a very sad story but there's always room for hope. My favorite part is the ED, it's just so cute to watch all those little dangos <3

5.00 (moderate) This is such a great manga so I was expecting a lot from the anime but I was disappointed. Although the anime follows the original story, halfway trough it they started changing it and the ending was so bad... I couldn't even get what was going on anymore. The OP was good, though. Raison d'Etre by Nightmare.

8.50 (very good) I watched this before reading the manga and loved it even after. The story is great and it makes you want to keep watching. They got pretty far into the original story before the ending of the series so you'll have plenty to watch. My favorite character is Allen Walker, he's just so cute <3

Death Note

7.00 (above average) The first half of the series was amazing up to the point were one of the main protagonists die.... after that it all goes downhill .___. It's a good story with a good plot and it does make you think how things are and how they could be changed. I recommend it a lot. The OPs and EDs were great: The World and Aluminia by Nightmare and What's up, people! and Zetsubou Billy by MAXIMUM THE HORMONE.

Elfen Lied

8.50 (very good) This is a really sad story combined with a lot of blood. If you don't like guts flying around and extreme bleeding, I recommend you skip it. The OP was very enjoyable and unusual since it's sung in Latin.

9.00 (very good) One of the best animes I've ever watched. The story is really interesting and actually has some depth. If you like philosophical stuff, then this anime is for you. The characters are very different and likeable and the story makes you actually care about what's going to happen and sometimes you feel identified with them. I recommend this anime a lot.

9.00 (very good) Forget everything you know about American Football because this anime is nothing like it. When I first heard about this show I was skeptical that a manga/anime about American Football could be any good, but I was pleasantly surprised when I started getting into the story. Once you get past the first episodes that are kinda slow you'll find yourself more and more interested in the plot and what's going to happen next. By the time you get to the middle of the story, you'll find yourself yelling "TOUCHDOWN" everytime they score. This is a great anime and I'd recommend it for everyone, not just sports fanatics.

Fairy Tail

Seen: partially

Last Updated: Apr 04, 2013

8.00 (good) What I like the most about the anime is how they extend more the fights that in the manga are rather anti-climatic. That and the fact that there's a lot less fanservice than in the manga. The arcs are great and even the fillers (that are not numerous) are good. There's a lot of character development in this anime and the interactions between the characters (that are a lot) is great. There's a lot of comedy and good moments between the nakama so I'd recommend it a lot.

Fruits Basket

Last Updated: Mar 28, 2013

6.00 (average) This must be one of the sadest stories out there besides Clannad and Elfen Lied. You'll find yourself wanting to protect the characters and thinking "That's enough, just let them be" Another thing that I liked was that they used the Chinese Zodiac for the characters and that makes it more special. The anime is good but the manga is even better, specially because things are explained a lot better in the manga. The downside of the anime is that there's so few episodes so a lot of things remain unexplained.

Ghost Hunt

Last Updated: Mar 24, 2013

9.00 (very good) I loved it from start to end. The stories are great and they do scare the hell outta you (especially if you decide to watch it in the middle of the night with the lights off). It's a great anime to watch if you like horror stories and supernatural stuff, it makes you look over your shoulder a few times when you're watching it. The downside is that they only made 25 episodes and each story is divided in 3-4 parts, so there are only like 4-5 stories.

7.00 (above average) I liked this anime because of the heroine, Victorique, who's a female version of Sherlock Holmes. I also liked that the anime is set in the Victorian era, which I love, and that heroine is a bookworm <3 I guess you could say this anime has a little bit of horror mixed in, since the heroine and friend spend their days solving crimes and mysteries. I recommend it a lot if you like the mystery and horror genre. I haven't finished watching it so my rating might change later ^.~

GUILTY CROWN

7.00 (above average) I really enjoyed this anime, it lacks a little bit on the plot side but the music, BGM and character design were great. The ending was sad and a somehow confusing but in general it was a good story.

Hellsing

Last Updated: Apr 08, 2013

7.50 (good) It's a good story and I specially liked how they used Bram Stoker's work as inspiration for this anime, but there are some plot holes that I think could've been explained better with a few more episodes. Another thing that I liked is the way they portrayed vampires: decadent, solitary creatures, sometimes deranged. That gives the whole story a different and nice taste.

High School of the Dead

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Mar 28, 2013

4.50 (moderate) Ok, so when you are told this is a story about zombies, you expect to see zombies, right? And sure enough, there are zombies but the anime focuses a lot more in the fanservice than anything else, which IMO is very annoying. Also the story it's not that good to be redeemed from having more close-ups of the girls boobs than a zombie apocalypse. It's not that bad an anime but to be honest there are a lot of better stories out there than this.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

Last Updated: Apr 04, 2013

9.00 (very good) I'm a fan of horror and supernatural stories and shows, so when I started watching this I was expecting certain things I've seen before... but I was so wrong. This anime doesn't rely on visuals to scare the audience, it's merely the psychological part what scares the hell out of you. Throughout the anime, you'll see different stories, each one leading to a different tragedy. Yes, there's a lot of blood, but that's not what makes this anime special or attractive. It's merely the way they portray how a person can change and how far they can go when put under pressure, fear, stress or simple suggestion. I enjoyed this anime a lot and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves horror stories and has the stomach to endure a lot of blood.

5.00 (moderate) A good shoujo anime if you like them a little bit angsty. Though, at some point things become too predictable and you might lose interest in it altogether. Up to episode 13 it was great, but after that things got too boring (at least for me).

Jigoku Shoujo

Last Updated: Mar 28, 2013

5.00 (moderate) I've only watched the first and third seasons and I was expecting a lot from the third since it was said there was going to be a new Jigoku Shoujo, but I was disappointed... again .___. The first and second seasons are pretty much the same: people making requests, people sent to Hell and so on. In the third season they mixed up things a little bit, but halfway through it they went back to the same old stuff. I finished it because I was looking forward to seeing this new Jiguko Shoujo but the ending is so disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it that much, only if you're a hardcore fan of the previous two seasons.

8.00 (good) This anime reminded me a lot of Guilty Crown because the visual elements, animation, story and characters are very similar. It's a good watch if you like that kind of futuristic animes. The character design is good and the story is decent although a little bit rushed.

5.00 (moderate) I don't know if there's a manga for this anime, but the story was somehow cliché. Maybe that's how a normal "slice of life" - "school life" anime is supposed to be, but it kind of bored me. It's cute to see the characters develop their friendship and the plus is the music, but it can get dull after a while.

8.00 (good) Lovely anime with lovely characters. Tomoe and Nanami, the main characters, have great chemistry so you'll never get bored of seeing their interactions. If you are a fan of supernatural stuff, this anime is for you because it has many elements from Japanese folklore. The OP and ED were so-so, too "shoujo" for my taste.

8.00 (good) Although this is another one of your regular shoujo animes, the story is so cute that it makes you want to keep watching. The pace of the story can be really slow sometimes but, I think, that adds more realism to the story in general. It's a really nice anime to watch if you are in the mood for something happy.

Kiniro no Corda

9.00 (very good) Also known as La Corda d'Oro, this anime was based on a game of the same name. It revolves around Kahoko, a regular high school student, who gets involved in the world of Classical music. It's a reverse harem, so you can expect a lot of romance. The music is great both for those who like Classical music and for those who don't. If you're not a fan then you can learn a lot about it by watching this anime.

5.00 (moderate) Well, I think the story is pretty strange (at least not for all tastes), but still enjoyable. One of the things that bothered me, though, was the relationship between the two main protagonists... it's just weird .__. The characters are cute, especially with those nekomimi.

9.00 (very good) A must watch for all those who call themselves "otakus". Konata is one of the best characters I've ever seen, she's great and most of the comical situations are caused by her and her strange ways. I recommend it a lot.

7.00 (above average) It wasn't so bad but there were a lot of plot holes (that I imagine are better explained in the manga). The ending was really weird, during the last episodes I found myself thinking "What the hell is even happening? .___."

8.50 (very good) This is one of my favorite stories of all times. The characters have depth and the relationships between them develop at a good pace so that makes you want to keep watching. The music was great: Anna Tsuchiya and Olivia. I recommend it a lot and the manga even more.

Ouran High School Host Club

Last Updated: Apr 04, 2013

9.00 (very good) The strong point of this anime is the main portagonist Haruhi and seeing how her life gives a 360° turn when she meets the guys from the Host Club. Most of the situations are incredibly ridiculous (especially because of the amount of money they spend everytime), but it's comical and you get a good laugh. I liked both the OP and ED, though they're very different genres.

9.50 (excellent) One of the best animes I've watched this year (and last). The story is great although a little bit cliché but it makes you want to keep watching. What I liked the most was the antagonist Shogo Makishima, he's not your regular "I want to conquer the world" kind of dumb villain. There's depth to the characters and the development of the story is pretty interesting. The music was also great: EGOIST and Nothing's Carved in Stone. It's not for sure, but the ending suggests that there will be a second season of this anime, so I'm looking forward to it.

6.00 (average) It's an entertaining anime but with a lot of fanservice. The strong point of this anime is the comedy and you can get a good laugh out of it. The character design is cute but the episodes are rather random. There's no much of a plot and it can get boring sometimes.

Saiunkoku Monogatari

7.50 (good) This a great, cute story if you like reverse harem. The protagonist it's not dull with a bunch of bishounen swarming her, like some shoujo animes. You actually get interested in what happens in the story and how things are going to develop. It's also great for a period anime.

School Days

4.00 (below average) I think this anime might be based on a game but I'm not sure. The story is really boring: a boy getting swarmed by girls who are willing to have sex with him at the first opportunity and the twist it takes makes you go "WTF". But the worst part is the ending, it's just too freaky. Definitely one of the worst animes I've ever watched.

6.00 (average) I'm a huge fan of this manga, so I was really looking forward to the anime version but I have to say I was a little disappointed. The art is so bad sometimes I wondered if what I was seeing was actually the character they were supposed to portray. The one redeeming point is that they stuck with the original story but that's shadowed by the fact that they ended the story when it was barely starting to get good .___. I hope there'll be a second season of this anime and, hopefully, this time the art will be better.

6.00 (average) This anime is so weird. I really don't understand why it's so popular. The characters are different, that's a given but I feel they lack context and the reason they give you for them being there it's just too... no. Anyway, it wasn't so bad but I wouldn't exactly said it was a great anime. Whoever who got through those "Endless Eight" episodes without skipping is to be praised.

One thing that annoyed me a lot was the voices they used for the characters, I felt like they didn't fit their image at all (especially Sunako's). If you want to watch this anime, I recommend you read the manga first, it's a great, funny, romantic story.
